Hip Opening and Strengthening:
The hip is a ball and socket joint with six possible movements. The biomechanics of the hip joint is complex and most asanas involve a combinations of these movements. As adults we all have different degrees of permissible movement at hip joint.
Flow sequences focused on 6 different motional aspects of the hip. The sequences are not only structured to build flexibility and emphasize on strength and stability as well.
Back-Bends
Our everyday activities mostly comprise of forward bends and a few possible lateral bends and twists. The back-bending classes focus on Spinal Extension with sequences crafted with focus on strength and flexibility of the back to maintain a healthy spine and improve posture.
Balanace/Core and Inversions
Core strength and stability is key to any activity we perform be it sport, asanas or our daily activities. Sequences will focus on a safe progressive method to work on the core strength and stability. These sessions include balancing poses, arm balances and inversions.
NOTE: These classes are not for beginners.
